I want to get a 19x8.5 BREYTON wheels (Flame) all around with Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS Pole Position 245/35ZR19 tires both front and rear for my 545i with sport package.

Only concern is whether the BREYTON wheels are strong enough to handle and roads here in New Jersey/NYC area? I had the HAMANN HM2 18" for my e39 540i for years and they were very strong, never bent(made by OZ).

Wondering if any member here have the BREYTON wheels and can share the experience.

Bottom line is that you get what you pay for. If you're looking at cast wheels....I don't care who makes them they will get damaged if you drive recklessly on NYC streets. Forged rims are your best bet.....they are quite a bit more $$ though...which is why I bought cast Breytons. I plan on being as careful as I can.....and if I do damage a wheel I don't plan on commiting suicide. Wheels can be repaired or even replaced. Good luck!

That's true!

But I still cannot decide to go with 19x8.5 all around or with 19x9.5 in the rear for staggered set up. The price difference is about $400 though which is not much...

Go with the staggered setup......I did and I still have to get myself a set of bigger spacers for the rear. Good luck

Where did you get yours from that comes with spacers? Tirerack did not mentioned there's spacers included with the purchase.

Still thinking.......

I got them from Tirerack......According to Wes at tirerack spacers are required for the Breyton Race GTS wheels. His extention at Tirerack is 648. Good luck

Forget to ask, do you get flat tire warning from the idrive since the new wheel does not have the tire pressure monitor unit.

Breyton actually makes a very solid wheel but they tend to run heavy. So if you are willing to sacrifice a bit in acceleration and handling, they aren't a bad option.

IMO, for the price, you can do a lot better though.

I just told by tirerack that MODIFICATIONTO THE REAR FENDER LIP WILL BE NECESSARY TO PROVIDE CLEARANCE FOR THE
TIRE if I decide to go staggered with the FLAME model wheel. The FLAME model wheels do not require spacers.

Well, I do not like to roll my rear fenders especially I did not even lowered my car. Hate to have tire rubbing issue as it was a nightmare when I had the Lexus with the MOMO arrow wheels...

For now, more towards all around setting.....still thinking.....

My car is an early build. The flat tire warning system doesn't have a sensor on the wheel. It works with the brakes I was told.
