Default Any E60 BMW non-///M Nitrous Installs Out There?

Hi all. Anyone with nitrous willing to share photos of what their install on a 525/530/535/545/550 looks like?

Rare. I think I saw one or two. The 1's and 3's do it more often. Doesn't help you with the N62 but it may help you if you are looking to see if the DME will go nuts.

What does this mean? How will the DME go nuts?

That's what I'm talking about. This was a long time ago too. Kudos to Joe for being a pioneer. Looks like a fairly straightforward install. I wonder why more people don't do this. Outside of changing out the plugs and re-filling the bottle it seems fairly straightforward.

Found these photos of a rear-mounted turbo 530i with nitrous.

For the N54 guys, we been trying to run E85 and swapping fuel pumps have caused us all kinds of fuel pump codes.

All I learned from that the DME is very fickle when it comes to you messing with the fuel.

To relate all this, I don't know if you are going to use a dry, wet, direct port injection or multistage setup etc. I am just cautioning that depending on how the fuel is setup, you may get codes. Not a surefire thing, but I see the potential for some headaches based on the hell N54 guys get messing with the fuel system. Being that our engines were developed around the same time, I am pretty sure they use many of the same sensors and thus similar engine management (not the same of course). However, I am not saying anything catastrophic will happen.
