I have the standard U.S. (U.K. HiFi) and i think it's pretty good. I don't really listen to very loud music or heavy bass, just soft pop, etc. Still, if i think of upgrading my stereo, will there be anything that can beat the L7 with similar price range?

I've been looking into this lately as I need to update my system. There is alot of different options out there. I'd recommend just going to a couple of Car Audio stores and have a professional show you different set ups in a certain price range your looking to spend. Bass/Lows in general is the biggest missing area in many BMW audio systems. In the end it will sound better then L7.

imo, JL audio subs can beat the L7. If money is not an issue, get the JL 12w7. I've heard, even from Car Audio stores that the L7's tear in the corners. But since you don't listen to a lot of heavy bass, the L7 might be too much for you. I'd go with the JL audio 10w6's if your going with 2 subs, if you just adding 1 sub go with JL 12w6 and get a JL 500/1. But I think listening to them before buying will give you a better idea of what your looking for. Hope this helps.

Thx for the answers, one more question though. will they have any aftermarket than can do the surround sound similar to L7?

only adding just sub can beat the L7?? I have no clue about these kind of information. I buy speakers/headphones mainly based on the brand ^o^"". I went to the audio place today and he said the system that is standard in the U.S. cost quite a bit in other countries It is too good enough for listen to soft pop, R&B, etc. He then explain about mids and lows and stuff like that, i was completely blank. By that point, he just told me don't upgrade anything, it is more than enough for me -o-". Still,, i'll look for those JL again that you guys recommended me once i finish my summer school.

i just notice something... my L7 means Logic 7.. not the subL7. Currently, i just wanna add any aftermarket that can do the surround sound... that's pretty much what i want..
