can 19's be set up staggered with fronts 245/40/19 and rears 275/35/19? i want a bit more rubber than the standard 245/35/19 and 275/30/19. if not, does anyone any suggestions for 19's? im looking to change my 20's to 19's with all season tires so i dont have to swap back and forth anymore. also the wifey will be driving the car at times and i basically dont trust her with the nyc streets.

245/35 R19 --> overall diameter 25.75 in / 654.05 mm
245/40 R19 --> overall diameter 26.71 in / 678.43 mm

That's a 0,96 in / 24,38 mm difference and that will very likely cause rubbing.

+1
A 275/35 R19 is 28mm larger in diameter than the 275/30 R19.

+1 for sticking to recommended sidewalls of 35 and 30 for 19s. in my opinion that is enough sidewall

I believe the 6 Series has the tire sizes above but I have no clue whether they'd rub on the 550i.

i figured they would until i calculated my 20's that are im running now and they are 245/35/20 which have a circumference of 26.75 and there is no rubbing at all. the rears are 285/30/20 which have a circumference of 26.73 and only rub when the car has a loaded trunk and 2 peeps in the back. not sure if it makes a difference but my ride is not lowered with non sport suspension. any help would be appreciated. thanx
