Hi members!

Now I have HUD windshield (already installed, almost free), HUD unit (EUR80 shipped), lights switch with HUD button (attached, got from eBay for EUR50 - new it costed 100).

Now I miss rain sensor (100 as new, I found one used but have to check the #) plus some cables+pins+plugs etc.

Will see if I will be able to visit BenAnd in September (he has a friend who can retrofit it easily).

The funny thing is I am not interested in HUD so much, but I have to make suck the stupid dealer.

Windshield button?

That is the light switch with HUD button on it: who doesn't have HUD is without that button on the switch, easy

Let me retrofit it (september-november, I will have to find a free week to drive to Denmark, 1000 miles), then I will post pics of the job

I got HUD unit + light switch from ebay.de, an always useful source for parts

Now I miss just rain sensor (EUR 100) and:

+
62306934584 (If you have black dashboard - /6 for grey)
62306936221 (trimming)
61136906535 (LVDS connector)
61120142318 (LVDS cable, 7 metres)

2 x 6113 6 901 847 ( male end-connector for LVDS cable )
2 x 6113 6 901 846 ( female end-connector for LVDS cable )
1 x 6113 8 387 214 ( LVDS cable housing at the connector at the HUD )
1 x 6113 8 384 550 ( 12 pin connector at the HUD )
20 x 6113 1 393 704 ( wire pin's for the connector at the HUD and the light switch, you need 14 , but then you have some to "lose" ).

that I will order directly to Munchen.

If someone wants to try, here the whole list:

Alex, You are wrong in LVDS connectors. For HUD retrofit
no need female connectors - only 4 male connectors.
