I thought it was the spacing as well, but when I looked at the two sides, they seem to be about equal. You should take both lights and shine them next to each other. If one bulb is dimmer than the other, it will be easily noticable. In my case, not only was one bulb dimmer, but the color was off.

This is just an update. I returned my defective bulb on Tuesday and received the new one the next Monday. I tested both bulb and they both looked identical in color and brightness. I installed it and there both working now. Looks great at night. Iceman spoke with Dave about getting our refund for return postage via paypal, but I haven't seen it yet. Oh well, I'm just glad it's working.

I dunno but it seems mine work great. No big noticeable difference. Will take a look again on the photos that show the difference.
It would have really sucked if you had some of our problems since you're pretty far away.

Just discovered that I have the FM interruption problem with my AIBs. It doesn't make any sense to me. Has anyone come up with a rational explanation as to how/why the AIBs would interfere with FM reception? BTW, I am talking about FM stations in LA with very strong signals (Power, Kiis, KROQ, etc.), so I don't think it is the weak signal presumption made earlier. Thoughts?
My brightness matches on both sides, so no problem there.
Dave - Will replacement sets be issued to those that bought already once the bugs are worked out???

I'm happy for you that you got a good set of AIBs.

And yes besides the distance, the fact that paypal doesn't work here sucks big time. I would have been forced to use Western Union again wich also sucks. Of course in the end if it didn't work exactly as expected than i would have left it that way.

Hi Folks,
I finally re-installed the left side AIBs. I had to remove the headlight from its housing. It was pretty much straight forward as Chi-Town Racing described in his DIY instructions. I still had a heck of a time getting the bulb to lock. I spent about 20 minutes fiddling around until I heard it lock into place.
Putting the headlight back in was another challenge. Spent another 15 minutes trying to slot it back under the two lower screws. Look at the two red circles for the screws. Do not take them out.

So, after about two months here are the results:
Right side - no problems at all.

Left side - problem was that the bulb was not sitting correctly. Now, it looks fine.

I'm such a procrastinator....
As for the FM reception, it's not as pronounced as before. It's still there though. I'll test out the FM reception some more this weekend when I go up to LA.
