I just found this link on ebay and I was wondering if this seller was trying to pass of their product as Angel i Brights:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BMW-HALO-LE...p3286.m14.l1318

If anyone can shed some light on this, let me know

Though deceptive as hell, they do not say they are Angel iBrights. The deception is that they use a picture showing Angel iBrights vs Stock, but the ad simply calls their units "Xenon Super White LED Angel Eyes Rim Bulbs". Caveat emptor - let the buyer beware.

On my 2004 525i, the Angel Eyes are very yellowish looking. Talked to the dealer the other day, and I was told that I have to replace the entire light assembly. I am not sure if that means the whole light assembly with the high/low beams etc., or the assembly for angel eyes, but for sure they meant changing bulbs will make it work. Does this make sense? I thought I saw somebody on this forum bought a pair of Japan made bulbs to get the bright angel eyes. Thanks.

The angel eye unit would need to be replaced. Do you have standard or xenon lights?

I have Xeneon light. Hope that will make it easier?

What is "The angel eye unit"? It is not the entire light assembly including the high/low beams right?

Well They are not as same as AIB.

Yes, I realize that. What I'm wanting to know is if these guys are trying to pass of their products as AIBs. If so, AIB needs to contact ebay and report them. "Angel i Bright" is specific to one company, its not a name that can be used synonymously with other products. I'm just trying alert both the members of this forum and AIB that there could be an inferior product being portayed as AIB.

It's a unit containing a light source (incadescent bulb on stock units) that provides the light for the angel eyes. The unit removes from a socket built into the light assembly by twisting it slightly to clear the holding tabs. Aftermarket units use a LED to provide the illumination, thus changing the 'yellow' look of stock to a color of your choosing. Check out the e-bay thread listed in the original post for an idea as to what it looks like. Do a search for angel eye DIY for replacement instructions.
