Saw this video on youtube and i would love to have this. Can someone just tell me how to get this? Other than purchasing the expensive elight module. I was told it could be coded. Here is the video
BTW this is the elight module

Do your homework on the board. This has been covered many many times already. You've been a member since 2009, so not exactly as if you're new.
If you have LM2, this can be done via coding.

I think what nomic_nehc is saying is that you can just have it coded. Get a laptop and learn to code or find someone who can do it and it's potentially simple as a few updates via the ODB II port... no hardware needed it seems.

Welcome light is something that was added in LM2, so post 9/2006, E60s were equipped with this module. You could have a 2007 pre-LCI car (in the States) and not have it enabled and shown in iDrive, but all 2008s and newer should see this as default.

You find this useful. In summary, the first option is to do it via taping of footwell wire if you are a diy person. Towards the end of the thread, someone mention that you can do it via coding even if your car is pre lci with the earlier light module. I am interested in that but too bad it seems no one does it here.

Not sure if I could have had mine coded or not (production year is 2006), but I wired mine up with some diodes. Took a while to install. Even hooked the LCI tail 'light bars' (CCFL tubes) up to the same circuit so they turn on as well:
