Angel Eyes - Upgrade advice

Hey guys,
Here is what I am looking to do. I have 2004 e60 without xenon lights (I have stinky yellow halogen headlights right now). I've read past posts concerning upgrading the angel eyes and headlight, but I am a little confused. Here are my questions:
My goal: I don't want to retrofit xenon headlights. I want to change the bulbs so that I have white headlight and bright white angel eyes (halo).
1. What is my best option to get the brighter halo ring? I was thinking just changing the light bulbs to whiter ones or buying Predator ICE/Angel iBright.
2. Does Predator ICE or Angel iBright require xenon headlight to work?
3. How many bulbs are needed to change headlight + halo rings if I decide I want to just change the bulbs?
