Angel Eyes - Orion V4's, Considering Upgrading (530i)
Hey all, I'm new around here, so please if you may, excuse this question (albeit I tried searching for the answer). I own an E60 Pre-LCI 530i (06' model) and my right headlight is burning out, so I thought I might as well consider upgrading to Orion's over going the OEM route.
Now my main question is if the Orion's are adaptive as the OEM headlights are, as in do they essentially follow your turning gestures. If not, is there a noticeable difference between OEM and Orion's with that feature, or is it negligible?
Also, I reside in Los Angeles and know about Republic Wraps should I fancy the headlight/fin modification, and was wondering if there are any other benefits to the mod other than it just looking amazing
All in all, thank you for your time. I appreciate it!

Jay, first of all, Orions are angel eyes, they are not an entire set of headlight as I am somehow getting that's the impression you have. The Orions are replacement for the stock angel eye rings, and will not affect how your adaptives function.
As for the illuminated fin mod, that's for LCI's only unless you want to throw in an aftermarket headlight (as opposed to upgrading to LCIs) that have fins that I can work on. Currently, I am the only person that does the illuminated fin install.

Angel eye has nothing to do with adaptive function and in our cars, pre-lci, the orions are only for the look, but they can use them as your day running light (DRL) if you change your light module control (LCM) wich I'm pretty sure that your car has a LCM 1 and you'll have to change it for the LCM 2 (with AHL function if your headlights are adaptive) ! Yeah you should contact Umnichris on the forum he works for republica wrap I think or you can contact Simon (Nomis_Nech) he is on the forum too !

Well, I see I'll hardly ever take YouTube comments into consideration when it comes to E60 Modifications, that created all sorts of misinformation for me just now.
May I PM you for further details?
