Its the ring of light around the headlights. If you turn just the parking lights on, you'll see the rings surrounding each of the four headlights. Those are the Angel Eyes.

Hi guys,
I'm sorry to ask an ignorant question, but what does "Angel Eyes" mean? I keep reading about them on the forum. Is it the type of bulbs you use in your headlights? What is the benefit of them?
Thanks!
Brandy

Thanks for letting me know! What is the benefit of replacing the OEM bulbs with aftermarket as so many discuss on these forums?

You will probably notice that the standard angel eyes are pretty yellow compared to your xenon headlights. Upgrading the stock ones will provide a better white light output to match the xenons.

Here is a great discussion on the Predator ICE/Mycarr Ice Angel Eyes.

http://forums.e60.net/index.php?showtopic=56901&st=-20

IMO even the AIB V3s arent bright and those cost over $250. There is a member "elite_motorsports" who is in the process of developing HID angel eyes for pre-lci cars. My plan is to wait until his come out and get tested by the forum before i spend anymore on the angel eyes.

So, I decided to with the angel eyes from jlevisw. I cant see spending almost $300 if I go with angelibright. We'll see how they will look. Will post results.

So i got the mycarr angel eyes(jlevisw) 2 nights ago and installed them the same night. I thought it would be easy but it took me almost 3 hrs to put these on without taking out the headlights nor unscrewing those torque screws! One side took me 2 1/2 hrs but the other one only took me 30 mins. You really have to study how to screw those bulbs to avoid wasting time. The package did not come with any instruction on how to install them. Anyway, like I expected they are definitely whiter than the oem bulbs but barely brighter. The oem are more visible during the middle of the day but at night is where they really shine. I think the effort was well worth it. I really like how they blend with the oem xenons.
