I decided to upgrade my oem angel eyes on my 05 545 by changing the oem lightbulb with the plug and play high output projector module . I have browsed thru a lot of manufacturers and websites that offer pretty much of what I want but prices ranges from 79 to 150 bucks. I just want your opinion and personal experience regarding these popular manufacturers e.g. Umnitza, mycarr, jlevi etc.Which ones gave you the best results and with the easiest installation procedure.?

I also wanted to transform these angel eyes into daytime running lights, any suggestions on how this can be done?

I like mine, install on an 04 545 was an effort for sure. I used these instructions:

I was inspecting the light assembly the other day and I was able to put my hands inside once i took the cap off and able to unscrew the high beam/flasher( i think) light without any instruments then I can clearly see the bulb for the angel eyes. I did not think I had to remove the assembly or need any tool to change out the angel eye bulb.??

I'd say if you can, then have at it. I undid the four bolts and wiggled each assembly out to make the change. Good Luck!

Apparently, MyCarr and Umnitza Predator Ice are same product, different packaging. If you want bright angel eyes, these are NOT the way to go. They're still fairly dim.

What brands can you recommend then that are better than the Mycarr brand? I am all ears!

We have carried the MyCarr brand for quite some time now and have been very happy with their kit. It's a direct PnP install and provides a nice upgrade over OEM without being too blue. They are also quite affordable compared to some of the other kits out there.

It is true that MyCarr manufactures the Predator version as well.

Hi guys,
I'm sorry to ask an ignorant question, but what does "Angel Eyes" mean? I keep reading about them on the forum. Is it the type of bulbs you use in your headlights? What is the benefit of them?
Thanks!
Brandy
