Default Angel Eye Resistor

I have a 2004 525i with xenon headlights. I recently picked up some 10w LED Angel Eyes from ebay and they went in fine, worked great with no errors. I was wondering what would be the best placement for the resistor (picture attached). I'm assuming it shouldn't be touching any of the wires, but what about the light housing itself? Would it get hot enough to melt the plastic? Thanks!

That looks like a resistor to me. Difficult to say how hot it gets as that depends on the resistance value.

That makes sense. I'll just take care to keep from contacting the other wires. Thanks!
