My Ride: Current - 330 Sport Topaz Blue, Grey Leather, HK HIFI...lost interest!!
Waiting for - 535d Sport, Silver Grey, Foldy Mirrors, 172 19",Logic7,Pro Radio,Through load,Heated Front Seats,High Gloss shadowline,Black Maple,Headlight wash,Sun Protection Glass.
I have none Xenon bog standard lights, I would like to make my dull amber angels a brilliant bright white. I have looked in the handbook, and at the car and it looks like it will be straight forward swap, W5W bulbs for the replacement Philips H6W's
Are there any isues with this? Will the computer show error codes becuase of the change in bulbs (maybe because of current draw or something along these lines). Will the lamps burn hotter, and so cause heat issues?
Your help and guidance as always.... Do I ...or dont I

My Ride: My ex-ride: EU '08 LCI 520dA. Space Grey, Sport Seats in Black Leather/Fabric Anthracite, Sport Steering Wheel, A/C with Extended Features, Hi-Fi Speakers, Cup Holders, Cruise with Braking function, Folding Rear Seats, Xenons, Park Distance Control.
Really good question mixterk
The Xenons has nothing to do whith the angelseyes.
The lamps will burn a bit hotter, that's for sure
but a increase from 5 to 6 W is really minimal,
almost nothing, but how exactly does a W 5 W
lamp differ from a normal 5 W lamp?
There has been some discussion about this matter
earlier, check with Search to be sure.
Most of the rear lamps, as you can see in the handbook,
uses 16 and 21 W lamps.
Some people change their head lamps from 60 to 100 W,
that I do no recommend.
I would like to go for some changes for the angel eyebrows as well...

Got it straight in my mind now...replace halogen W5W with Philips cool blue Xenon W5W, the H6W will not fit as they are completely different it seems. Ive also ordered some H7 (buy one set get a set free at powerlamps) . The car will show no errors, and these lamps are 30% brighter and whiter. Now posting updates in the Parts and Accesory thread
