So I had the BSW stage 1 speakers installed a while back and the sound was a little better, but the volume was still weak. Yesterday I finally added 2 amps and the earthquake subs to the car. I ended up getting Soundstream Tarantulas 2x430 and 4x300 amps. They are mounted in the trunk against the back seat (no fold down seats). The color matches my car very nicely. Pics coming soon. Anyhow my door speakers absolutely scream now! Shit gets incredibly loud and there is no distortion until I hit very uncomfortable volume. The earthquakes are a dissapointment to be honest. now before I complain I will preface this by telling you that I do not have a sound processor installed yet. This should improve things a bit. For now though, the subs do not do a good job. They miss low frequencies and they do not sound very clean. It is louder then I remember logic7 being. But I remember the logic7 woofers sounded clearer. Perhaps this will all get better when I install a DSP unit. So for people who do not want to spring for a $500+ DSP I wouldnt recomend upgrading to earthquakes. You are better off just putting a box in your trunk. The BSW speakers + aftermarket amp however I give 2 big thumbs up.

Sorry to hear that the Earthquakes SWS'ers don't work out for you, but they always wil sound better than the factory crap that is installed. To me it was a nice upgrade!
