Finally had some free time to install the amp and sub, my gargae is heated so it wasnt too bad.
I tried to keep it clean... but some wires still shows

Alpine 12" type R
Alipne mono MRP-M500
I taped into the OEM amp, pretty easy

+1 L7 kickers are nice subs, I use to have 2 10" L5 kickers and they were too much for me so now I switched to a 12" Rockford fosgate sub and amp

Another vote for JL here. I just installed a JL 10w7 and it sounds fantastic. The single 10" w7 is PLENTY.

so you finally went to alpine set up !!

is it sealed or ported? looks like sealed to me and hopefully not ported.. box looks too small to be ported..

Again I like JL and they are nice but seems way to overpriced and overated...

i like sub with rubber cones like MTX 8500-9500 series or type r or type x

Its a logicQ box, it comes ported but they also provide a cap that will seal the box, I have the cap on, so it sealed.

I went with type R, and I took your advice on the rubber coners... the mono amp seem very powerful, enought to push 2 typeR's
