I had an alignment done recently, but now I'm switching wheels (and tires).
Switching from 8" ET20 to 8.5" ET20 (front)
Switching from 9" ET17 to 9.5" ET18 (rear)
The new tires are the same size as the old.

Will I need another alignment or are these wheels close enough?

Thanks for any advice!

I doubt you'll need a realignment

+1. Re-align only if the wheel diameters are changed.

I think you are ok without an alignment, but if you want to be safe get one. Put the new wheels on and see how it drives. If you are off center, get an alignment. If not, you are good to go.
