I was taking pics today, and didn't notice until I uploaded the pics that the grille piece in the center lower air dam is warped.
Is this piece removable? If so, how does it look if left out?

It's not warped ... the end has come unsnapped from the bumper. I noticed the same thing had happened on my car last weekend. Carefully push out the inner portion of the bumper slightly away from the the flat plastic grill and push the grill down and back over the small nub that secures it. You'll hear a snap and all will be well!

I know you've resolved this, but to answer your second question it actually looks good removed IMO. I had mine out for a few days when I was getting my RaceMesh and liked the open look. However, it didn't look completely finished because the visible mounting tabs on the fascia would need to be cut off and I just didn't like the look THAT much. Like the RaceMesh a lot though....
