My car has all focal components I forget the exact model number (I'll post it when I get home) but my shop had to special order the front speakers.. They needed to order the super slim magnets because normal focals will not fit... I'll be of more help when I get back home from work they sound GREAT though Are you planning on getting subs?

You're going to want to get the 100KP's for the front and the 100 CV1's for the rear. The 100 V slim's might also work for the front, but they require a mounting depth that's almost 1/2" larger. I personally have the 100KP's and the 100 CV1's and I couldn't be happier.

100 KP - 4" components, 1-9/16" mounting depth
100 CV1 - 4" coaxials, 2-3/4" mounting depth
100 V slim - 4" components, 2" mounting depth

hi Heiss, is there any way u can tell me how to route the wires ..im hooking the speakers up to an alpine 4 channel amp? how many watts are you pushing to the focal. my amp is rate at 150 x 4 @ 4ohms..is that too much should i get an smaller amp.do you use a jl cleansweep to filter the signal going to the amp.
thanks

Is there a way to make a 5" mid fit?

Speaking of focals, I just remembered that I have an old set of focal utopias gathering dust somewhere.

Are you planning on keeping the headunit like my setup, or do you have an aftermarket headunit? Also, I'm not sure what you're looking for in terms of a description for running wires? Are you looking for a wire diagram, instructions on removing panels, what exactly?

There are a few diagrams on the forum that show how a couple members have run their wires, I know my530i has one. As for removing panels, Rudy has all the TIS manuals so I would ask him.

As for my setup, I have a connection with JBL where I work, so I bought their Power Series amps and GTi subs, and then Car Toys had a deal with Focal speakers so I ended up buying the front components and getting the rear coaxials for free basically. I have a PX300.4 running the Focals and a BPX1100.1 running the subs. So it's between 100-125 watts x 4 @ 4ohms for the speakers and 550-600 watts @ 4ohms for each sub.

I thought about getting a JL Cleansweep, but I didn't like the fact that you lose your factory volume control, plus I hooked one up at Car Toys to see if it actually helped and it really didn't do anything. Your best bet is to just go with a good high to low converter.

Are you looking to add subs as well? I don't know if you saw my post in the classifieds but I'm looking to sell both my amps and my subs with the enclosure if you're interested. The only reason I'm selling them is because I've gotten to know the guys at Car Toys really well recently and they can give me a deal on all Focal stuff, so I want to go with straight Focals all the way around, subs, amps, and everything. Anyway, I'm not trying to steal your post I swear, just let me know.
