This process consisted of washing the tails with dawn dish washing soap and then cleaning them with glass cleaner. Once that was done i used 3m painters tape to tape off the clear section of the tail lights. Once it was all prepped i used the product called vht spray tint. They have 4 coats on them! Between the coats i waited anywhere from 3 hours to 12 depending on when i could get to them! BTW i forgot, taking off the tails takes unscrewing 4 bolts off with the 8mm wrench that comes in your safety kit in the trunk lid. Very simple.

My thoughts: I think it looks pretty good. I wanted a darker look but couldnt wait any longer so i put them on. Im considering taking them off again and adding 1 coat to the entire light! That way the clear has a little tint to it too and the red will get darker like i wanted when i started. Here are some pics during the day with no flash. Its cloudy here but still a lot of light outside. ITS SNOWING TOO!!!

Opinions? suggestions? let me know what you think. Overall im happy with the work i did!

Glad you like them.

Since you asked for opinions here is mine... I think they are a little too dark. I like tinted tails that still have that glossy, shiny look to them.
I wouldn't put another coat on them.

But do whatever makes you happy

I think they look great. The test will be to see how long the spray will last with exposure to the elements as well as frequent car washes

I think that glossy look can be done by adding a clear coat. The clear coat will also help with the life of the spray against the elements and car washing!!

What do you think?

Looks great, perfect shade. You need a clear coat on it! Go take them off and clear coat them!
