I went w/ 19"s for the better ride. I think 20"s belong on bigger bodied cars like the 7 series or the S Class. 19"s fit the 5 perfectly.

Of course, that's just my 2 cents.

IMHO, the only 19"s worth getting are OEM M5 166 or M6 167. Other than that, go with 20"s. The e60 looks sharp with 20"s. With the Sport Package and 20"s you won't need lowering springs.
I agree 100%

19's will act just as strong as 18s' in the city. If you're careful and don't drive in the city, get 20's. Fills the car better.

Haha...

I forgot about your 101's Znod. Yeah, they're good and lightweight. Also, since Znod reminded me about the 101s there are also 172s, 135s, and 128s. All OEM.
Thanks for not forgetting the 172s! I don't really care, the less people that have them, the better.

Welcome the the Forum BigL.

In my opinion there's absolutely only on right answer:

OEM wheels and no larger than 19".

For all the reasons there are!

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your 550 purchase...its a great car!!! The look of 20's is hard to beat.

Don't know if you have checked this thread out: http://forums.e60.net/index.php?showtopic=27857&st=0

Your ride won't sacrafice, specially after you yank the run flats off! I like custom wheels but if you want to keep the car looking stock, my latest favorite is Allenman's: 20" OE type 32s.

Dont mean to offend most of you guys but those wheels with lip dont look right at all on this car, all of the e60's came out with no lip wheels on them and its for a reason. Design of e60 dont blend with those wheels, e39 thats another story on e60 it is a no no. Whatever makes you happy I guess.

19's too small for the E60, 20's is a perfect fit
