Ok, I have been letting this issue sit here for a while while traveling.

I finally need to put springs on my 530i non-sport to lower it after I went with the 19" #166 wheels.

It appears that the leading contenders are Eibach or H&R. TireRack sells both for a good price, and they have a story on both.

Does anyone know of any other spring makers that work with the 530i?

In my case, I am looking for something that will keep the smooth ride while lowering the car for appearance. I am afraid that Eibach Pro or H&R may add a little too much "sport" (e.g., firmness whereby I feel every bump in the road) to a car that already has enough sport with the 19" wheels.

Best regards,
Richard

I guess we may not know our springs here too well!!!!

Doing my own research, I found the available models are Eibach, H&R, B+G S2, and Intrax.

I am trying to find the best lowering spring that will provide the best ride. I am willing to give up a little handling for comfort.

Anyone have any ideas on the ride comfort issue?

Sorry I can't help much with your spring question but I see you have put 166's on your monaco blue E60, I'm considering the same thing and have the same color so wondered whether you could post (or pm me) the larger version of the pic in your avatar?

Thanks!

I have H&R's

Best Ride = coilovers

Eibach is a little better ride then H&R but H&R are more more sportier suspension

I don't have a pic right now (I have to convert them to smaller sizes to fit here), but if you do a search for my posts, you will find some pics. It is beautiful with monaco blue.
