My Ride: 2005 Alpine White 530i
Story: (Read if you are bored)
I've had quite bad luck as of lately with my 5. First I blew out a tire in January that had less than 5k miles on it hitting a pothole. Also had to replace a front strut and get a new alignment. Then I blew out a second tire (these guys are almost $300 a pop) last week on another pothole. Needless to say, Oregon roads are getting WORSE and WORSE by the day lately (and I'm a very aware driver!). I went to get the new tire balanced today and had them check my rears as I've been having some VERY strong vibrations the last few weeks. Turns out both rear rims are bent. I should have known better for buying some knock-off M5 replicas last summer, but the price was right and the seller had good feedback. So now I'm in a quandry. It's the WORST possible time for me to spend money. I just put down 10% and closed on a huge new house up in the hills just 11 days back with my fiance which depleted most of my savings. I have a spendy wedding coming up in just six weeks too. I DON'T need to be spending money! Anyhow, unless I want my drivers seat to be a permanent vibrating massage chair on the highways, I need an economical set of new 19's!
Needs:
I'm hoping to find a new or lightly used set of 19's that will fit my current tires (245/35/19 front, 275/30/19 rear) with a low budget of $250-300 per rim. I know it's not much, but like I said above, I don't have the money to spend to begin with. I'm switching from an M5 style rim, and would prefer to get one with a lip this time around. Had a 3" lip on my last car and loved it, now I want it again! I'd be open for rims without a lip if they are hot! I obviously need a staggered fit. I need something that will BETTER withstand potholes and road variations over my knock-offs (anything will be better!). I also need something that will look good with my current setup. My car is alpine white with a black roof. I have the full M-Tech kit w/ carbon fiber front splitter. I'm riding on the sport suspension.
Members! Make your suggestions on a stylish budget rim (hopefully name brand still) that you think would be a good fit for my price and preference. If you make a suggestion, please include a picture of the rim (or the rim on an e60!) and why you'd choose it. Also please include needed offset information (if there's an option) so I make sure these sit flush. I need to buy some by the end of the week and my decision will heavily weigh on your opinions! I looked for countless hours the first time around and settled on the 166 to keep it simple. I want something that looks aftermarket and brings some flash to my ride (no solid chrome though!).
Thanks in advance everyone!

you should try getting the rims straightened if you are tight on cash right now.

go with VMR. I have the VMR710's and I love them. They look exactly like the HRE monoblocks but are a fraction of the cost. I jsut threw a CF roundel in and called it a day with my setup!
