Hello all,

Been doing some serious browsing around here and cant find the exact answer/instructions on how to do what i want, would some please assist me if possible, i'm sure there are other that would also be intrested.

I have a UK Spec e60 with the Logic 7 Audio system, I love the fact that its all hidden and i also think it sounds great but lacks bass, i'm not intrested in changing anything else other than the subs and maybe adding a amp for the new subs. I understand that what i need to do is buy 2 earthquake SWS-8 subs and a 2 channel Amp.

I's like to know if anyone has the exact instructions on how to connect this setup all up, i've seen the post from bruce which was great but it applys to the hifi system not logic.

I have also been to around 3 local car audio shops however all want to sell me a sub box and a amp that go into the boot, of which i dont want.

Thanks

Roger

What kind of bass are you looking for?

If you have good audio software, you can adjust your songs EQ settings so they will be recorded with good quality bass. The logic 7 system can sound like a nightclub when you are sitting in the car.

With that being said - it won't sound good outisde of the car. In fact, it sounds pretty lousy, but the system wasn't designed with competition in mind.

Thanks mate but no it does not, Bruce has the HIFI audio system not the Logic, from what i understand the logic amp is totally different and i think uses Optical cables or something.

Cheers

eazyrog,
Did you ever find any info about upgrading the subs on a L7 system? My wife used to have a JL Audio W6 in her old car and is missing her bass with the E60. I'd like to keep everything stock and only upgrade the subs with Earthquake SWS-8 and an aftermarket 2 channel amp to drive these subs.

You can still use my write up even if you have the L7. All the will differ is that you have loop through your L7 amp to gain the Bass High outs and feed those into your new amp and then let the new amp drive the Earthquakes. Its best if you buy an amp that takes speaker outs otherwise you will have to buy Line Level convertors etc.

On the Hi-Fi amp it was simple

HU -> New Amp -> New speakers.

On the L7 it will be

HU -> L7 amp ->New amp ->New speakers.
