My Ride: 2010 535 xi - M Sport Pkg & other goodies
Default Adding auxiliary lights to high beams

So I've been toying with doing this to our wagon (posted HERE when in retrospect, was better in this forum), and was wondering a few things. If anyone can pop over to my post and let me know what you think, that'd be great.

A technical question or two:

Our 2010 535XI wagon has HID lights for the high beams too, right? They're called bixenons?

Is my idea of tapping into the high beam light wire to get a signal (I would think it's better to use a relay to power up the LED aux. lights, rather than tap it for the power, no?) a good one? Easy to do?

I've seen quite a few threads here about people upgrading their lights, so figured you'd know!

Thanks!
