I take delivery next week. Should I have these installed at the dealer and order them now or do it after I take delivery?

Where do you recommend I have these put on? Where can i order them from?

Buy the OEM Style M5 166 or 167 wheels and non-RF 245/35 and 285/30 19" quality tyres and forget the spacers!

I seriously doubt a main dealer would fit spacers for you on a brand new car. Because these are a non-standard device which can, in theory, put strain on the cars wheel bearing parts I'm pretty sure they would invalidate your warranty on said parts- and thus it's unlikely a main dealer would do it for you.

It's worth a try though , as you may be able to get themto do it for free!

(PS Ignore the previous poster. 172s are way cooler than those M5 wheels! )

I believe italia550i had his spacers installed at the dealer prior to taking delivery......agree on the 166 vs 172s

I agree, the 172's are one of the best looking OEM wheels for the 5 series

I am pulling the 172's from my 550 Monday and installing a set of 167's. The 172's will be for sale. If anyone is interested, PM me.

you could order spacers from probably any shop that could get them. some members here also have sold their spacers in the classifieds section. you could always go to an aftermarket shop to have them installed or put them on yourself. put the spacers on in the rear wheels. with the 172's, i believe the offsets are 18 in front and 32 in rear. with the 12mm spacers in the rear, the wheels will be brought out more but not as close to the flushed look with the rear fenders compared to if you had 15mm spacers. im running the 128s with the same offsets as the 172s but with 15mm spacers in the rear. here's my thread about them before i dropped my e60: http://forums.e60.net/index.php?showtopic=38932&hl= . hope this helps.
