I have installed an STi-R remote radar detector in the grill... It alerts most of the time (but not all) on K band, 24.2xx... Some on the radardetector.net forum suggested it may be interference from the Active Cruise Control system. Have any of you had that problem with remote detectors, and if so have you found any solutions besides killing the K-band on the detector?
Thanks in advance,
Cal

I haven't found any issues with ACC and my V1. I do, from time-to-time, suffer from the occasional false alarm from the rear loop that's we've speculated here stems from some signal leaking from the sharkfin on Sirius equipped cars.
I do think there may be some validity to your theory though because I seem to remember a while back where my V1 alerted me of a threat in front of the car as I pulled up towards a wall in my garage. That indicated to me that some sort of signal is being picked up by the Valentine but it doesn't seem to affect it under normal operating conditions...

Thanks Rudy. A simple experiment would be to temporarily disable the ACC and do some trials, then compare with the ACC enabled. My SM hasn't offered any way to isolate and disable the ACC (e.g, a fuse). Do you know if there is a way to do it?

You'll see that fuse number 28 on the fuse block located in the glove box says it's for the cruise control. Interestingly, it also indicates that fuse number 84 on the fuse block located in the luggate compartment (near the battery, I think) also is for the cruise control.
Keep in mind that I think these fuse charts are from a 2004 car so I don't know how different thay are for a newer model. You should be able to see the diagram for your car inside your tool kit...
