ACS splitters only on non auto AC

My Ride: Current - 330 Sport Topaz Blue, Grey Leather, HK HIFI...lost interest!!
Waiting for - 535d Sport, Silver Grey, Foldy Mirrors, 172 19",Logic7,Pro Radio,Through load,Heated Front Seats,High Gloss shadowline,Black Maple,Headlight wash,Sun Protection Glass.
Two dealers have now told me that the ACS spliters as seen on this forum site, can only be fitted to cars with non auto aircon. Why????
As these splitters are to be fitted to the M sport kit body I think its crazy as this cuts out the option on a lot of cars that come with this AC as standard the 535 for example.
Can anyone confirm this, have the UK dealers got it wrong?
help would really like them for my 535....

There are no differences on the E60 bumper and air ducts between the auto and non-auto AC ( unlike the 1 Seres which has a couple differences )
All I can think is they affect the outside temp sensor that the auto AC uses
but it does sound strange

Just looked at Schnitzer's site on the PDF with E60 parts
A couple of their E60 splitters say "Not for cars with ACC"
I think they mean Active Cruise Control, not Automatic Climate Control
Maybe the dealers are confusing the 2

Sounds more like it, I can see why it might effect that, but couldnt see how it would Climate control.

My Ride: My ex-ride: EU '08 LCI 520dA. Space Grey, Sport Seats in Black Leather/Fabric Anthracite, Sport Steering Wheel, A/C with Extended Features, Hi-Fi Speakers, Cup Holders, Cruise with Braking function, Folding Rear Seats, Xenons, Park Distance Control.

The E60 has two different auto AC:s. Even the standard Euro version is automatic but the US version (with round buttons, option in EU) has more features.
