I just got an ACS Roof spoiler. While I see alot of pics showing the E60 from the side with the spoiler, I want a more detailed look at how it looks from the top. Where is it glued on and how far from the windshield seal, etc...etc...I feel like a dumbass since I can't even tell by the instructions that came with it.

If you guys take some time and post close-up pics of your install, I would greatly appreciate it.

Also, some tips on the install would be great as well.

Thanks!

You can see my replica installed in this link. Its siliconed or HIGH INTENSE GLUE goes onto the rubber trim at the top of the windshield and the roof spoiler sits there. You have to have a body shop do it, and have them use SERIOUS glue or silicone.

Installed mine with 3M double sided tape from home depot a year and half ago and still stuck on firmly. The tape that comes with most spoilers is crap.

Mine is the actual ACS one and it came with some type of adhesive, not tape. So it goes right on the rubber seal? I didn't notice on the spoiler if it had grooves that fit over the seals. I'll check it out. It's currently at the shop for paint.

The adhesive is cool, I've heard of people breaking their rear windows trying to remove it tho, at least with the double sided mounting tape (3M), if you ever get tired of it, it's not that hard to remove....

Funny thing is, I had one too, I didn't really like it after a while but it was already on so I just left as is, then one day on the highway, I heard a noise, looked in my rear view and it had blown loose and was tumbling down the highway behind me, I thought...oh good, self delete never looked back twice

bmw/your dealer offers an adhesive for oem spoilers and other parts, believe it's called betalink (pn# 82-69-9-408-866)

betalink: non reversable without damage/repair needed

3M tape: reversable, no damage to paint/body parts..

I bought the OEM M trunk spoiler and it came with double sided tape. However, one time I was accidentally shipped a CF spoiler for a 1 series and that came with the betalink.
