So im really starting to deck out my 5'er, I am apparently impervious to RADAR and LIDAR now
and im shifting my focus to playing my music/entertainment too loudly.
So i need to buy an interface box in order to display any video source right?
It looks like there is no solution like installing aux audio where a standard audio cable can be fitted to the correct pins on the head unit and then programmed via NCSExpert (which i currently have set up and working) to show up as a "TV" source in entertainment? I know some european countries can have a TV option enabled on thier idrive from the factory? do these cars already contain an ACM or similar module that my US 2006 CCC nav-pro module does not have stock?
So heres the other part of my question, it looks like ill be buying an interface to handle the video but then can i use the DVD nav slot to play video dvd's is there a video output contained in one of the pins from that player that i could maybe wire to video1 on an ACM or aftermarekt video interface? or will my in dash dvd player be restricted to only displaying nav data/audio sources.

You wont be able to play video via your in-dash DVD.
