The lights look great soc_fans. What was the problem you were having with the HID foglights? Did everything get squared away? I was thinking of doing HID foglights as well to match my upgraded 6000K lowbeams but I think I'll settle for PIAA bulbs....
Tony,

i saw on your sig that u wish for a white angel eyes. What color is the original/stock angel eye for the e60 then?Is it hard to change it?

The stock angel eyes are normal lights which looks yellowish compared to the stock xenons. I had upgraded my lowbeams to 6000K xenons so the angel eyes look even yellower compared to the now bluish lowbeams.

I'm hoping a company will come out with an easy way to change the color of the angel eyes. I think Um-Nitza offers colored rings that you can replace but you'd have to bake open the light assembly to do that and that sounds scary to me.

soc_fan did you replace the bulbs yourself? I'm having some difficulties trying to reach the bulbs. There seems to be some kind of a metal framing that prevents me from opening the cap behind the low beam lights. I can get to the high beams easily, but not the low beams. thanks

Yeah i heard about that too but i have no problems so far, it is brighter and bluish but it makes the angel eyes look dimmer..

Light output is measure by lumens. The higher in the Kelvin temperature you go, the less lumens a bulb projects. A 4250K xenon bulb puts out about 3200 lumens and a 5800K bulb puts out only 2400 lumens. The difference is that you go from white to blue to purplish as you go up the Kelvin scale.

You can check out this website for some info and pics on xenon bulbs. Our cars take bulb type D2S.

Very nice, so you get fault messages after the installation? Are you sure it wouldn't harm the car?
