Hmm... So I've searched this board and I've seen pix of two member rides who have put on the 645ci's sport rims (19" ellipsoid)... one member even put it on temporarily and snapped pix just to show! (kudos bra).

Anway, I think the wheels would look good on my ride, so I inquired www.bmwwheels.com who have a set of 4 + tires all for $1.2k. They said these wouldn't fit my car because it's a SPORT 545i.

So now I'm wondering, were the members who put these wheels on running SPORT e60's or not?

i would post a comment by the photo you have seen posted with them. It should say if its a sport or not, i have a feeling it was, due to a majority here have the sport model. have you tried to fit them and know for sure whats going to work or not

 

I think the rims should fit. Its the tyres that may not. Take the 19 inch rims for example. The tyre size for the E60 is 245/19/35 whereas the E63 spots 245/19/40. Thats just my opinion, but you should at least check with your local agent.

 

Not 100% accurate - My 6er delivered w/245/19/40 (f) and 275/19/35 ? as called out in specs. Optional tires are indeed ...35 (f) and ....30 ?. Speed rating of these lower ratio tyres is not as high as specified tyres. Offsets will be more important and I believe they are as different as 20mm in rear - not so different in front. But based on what pics offered to date I think it may be ok. Just need to know tyre/rim can be returned if no fit.

 

hey thanks guys.... well i think they would fit, although the offset in the rear would make the wheels jut out a little bit... this was discussed in the other thread, but it seemed to be ok still...

i don't think i'm gonna risk it... if it were a local dealer that had the rims for that price, then i'd go for it, but not through mail.. shipping is $200!
