Can anyone recommend a reputable chiptuner for my 635d in Holland or Belgium?
I'd love to hear some first hand experiences because I think there are a lot of 'easy money' chiptuners out there.
The ones I have on my list are Power-Plus (Belgium), Kempower (Belgium), Auto Tune Heinze (Belgium), Rica (Holland), Carly Motors (Holland) and Digitune (Holland). Does anyone have personal experience with any of these companies?
BTW I don't want to spend 2.000 Euro on Hartge or AC Schnitzer because I don't see the added value with them.

Andy545 and Doc Horror have had their V8s remapped and they are Netherlands and Belgium based members. I believe they went over the border to Germany though to get their cars remapped?? PM them, they'll be able to tell you more.
"DMS", one of the leading remapping companies, is UK based but has representatives / dealers throughout Europe. They have received a lot of positive reviews in forums and the motor-press. You should check out their website to see what they could do for you in your area

A fiend of mine had a 2005 535d remapped by Carly (or should I say Carla...) and he was very satisfied. Of course, this was the 272hp version, but it was incredibly fast. I drove it a couple of times, and it was amazing. He claimed a GPS top speed of over 275 km/h (on the Stinger DSI)!
The car had 140k km's when it was sold and he has had no troubles at all during the 140k.
He now drives a 2008 535d, also remapped by Carly. Haven't driven it yet, but he claims it's even faster (especially the gearbox)!
Ziptuning may overcome as an 'easy tuner' (to me at least), but they do take over the factory warranty. I know someone who has had his M5 done, and he was quite satisfied.

Doc Horror and I had our chiptuning done by a very small noname BMW electronics specialist in Germany - we paid a very small amount of money for the same chiptuning file for the N62 motor that any other "big" or "reputable" tuning company would charge 1000+euros - nice try ! but no thanks.
The chiptuning file was an exact match to performance specs amongst most of the tuners I researched. We are very happy with the performance upgrade.
My take on this after extensive research: find the tuner that will chiptune your car and re-install it for free (if you had a software update in the future) at the cheapest price - that's it.
