My Ride: 525i
Model Year: 2005
I'm looking to do the same, 525i w/ the same configuration. From what I've researched and read on this forum, you have to reprogram your system at the dealer for MP3 playback. If you can play an MP3 CD from the head unit you are already programmed and you can get the Gateway 500. I would like to get additional feedback from anyone out there who has this product installed.

SO i cant install gateway500?
