I mounted 5mm in front and after a day of driving, I have a small vibration in the steering wheel at highway speeds. I just had the tires balanced before I put them on so I don't think that is the problem. The spacers were somewhat difficult to install because you have to hold the tire on while trying to fit the lugnuts in since the spacers take up much of the hub. I also noticed that the 5mm spacer fits loosely (with play) on the hub until you tighten the wheel. Is there a ring to add or something to extend the hub and take out the play? The fronts were not like the rear which had to be "softly rubber malleted" into position because the fit was so tight.

when you tightened them down did you use the star method?

H&R makes good hubcentric spacers so it could be a bubble in the tire or a wheel weight got chucked off somehow

take the spacers off and see if the vibration goes away, if it does then you have your answer

They may not work with the 124's without hub extenders. Here is what I read off of turnermotorsports website:

*5mm Spacers require you have a flush mounting surface on your wheels.
Wheels with a beveled mounting surface are not compatible with these spacers. If you have beveled wheels and wish to run a 5mm spacer on the front, you can use the TMS Hub Extender kit (front only!)

The 124's are beveled so they are not making contact with the hub!

+1 for the flush mounting surface, being hubcentric made for the car, and star method. there have been cases before that the spacers were not completely up against the hub or the wheel when installed which caused vibrations.

That is not what they are saying. The wheel has to have a flush mounting surface so they will make contact with the tiny bit of hub remaining. Since the 124's are beveled, they are not sitting on the hub once the 5mm is mounted.

EDIT: Just took them off and problem solved. It also doesn't look much different. I think they will be in the sale section. To all that wish to mount 5mm up front with a beveled wheel, you will need a TMS hub extender!
