My Ride: 2006 550i Sport - fully loaded minus cold weather package.
Blue angel eyes, 19" 167s
Any pics of the 167 or 101? I'm new to the styles etc. As far as performance over cosmetics, 99% of the time yes - but I just want to make sure the 19s will fill up the wheel well nicely. I have the 124s on a stock sport suspension.

Here's a pic of the rac monolites RG41s on a M5. The 20s weigh about 22lbs and the 19s weigh about 20lbs. You can also consider BBS as they have some lightweight wheels. I believe the 20" RS-GT is around 24lbs or so. I could be wrong in that figure however. Some HREs are pretty heavy, but the HRE competition series is relatively light.

Those 167s are hot as hell! But you have to use spacers? I'm not a fan of those. As far as running HREs etc, well I'm not going that all out - I donated this car to the wife after we got married, but for the run I want to spruce it up a bit.
Okay new challenge, hot rims with blacked out centers either 19" or 20" in a 5 spoke layout that fill the wells without having to roll the fenders.....

No, you don't need spacers. brian1225 has 167s with the M5 offset. What you should do is get the 167s with the M6 offset. The M6 offset for the rear 167 is ET:17. The M5 offset for the rear 167 is ET:28 which will require spacers to make it look good like brian1225's.

Yes! M6 wheels, anyone know where I can find a set?
BTW I'm currently in Afghanistan (DoD Contractor) so I'm fairly needy as I don't have many resources open to me stateside.

Racemonolites huh? Love them...where to buy them?
They're pricey though, so if you don't want to spend HRE money, then you might not want to spend money on these either.
I'm a big fan of those 167s, and for the money they're hard to beat.

There is one available on eBay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BMW-M6-Rims...sspagenameZWDVW
No one's bought it yet. I think it's a great deal. You'll get the same look as brian1225 but without the spacers. Also, get these tires sizes: 245/35/19 for the front and 275/30/19 for the rear. Do NOT go with 285/30/19 because you'll end up rubbing.

heezy: I think i'll stick with the M6 wheels - I'm shelling out for a $140k Porsche project car with carbon fiber Dymag wheels - I'm sick of spending 10k on a set so HRE is out.
Vegas: Why haven't you been quite my little helper today! I'm buying these wheels - now off to tire rack for the tires!
BTW does anyone know if I have to have a different steering wheel to get paddle shifters for my 550 step? See my wheel below:
