I took my 08 550i and RPI GT Axel back system to a local exhaust shop to be installed. Once finished i noticed that the fitment was not preferred...
-Sticks out too far
-hangs too low
Is this normal fitment??
Any RPI owners out there have any suggestions/ tips for me to communicate with the exhaust shop, for them to adjust fitment?
-maybe they didnt cut the stock pipe far enough back? something to do with the hangers?
Exhaust sounds great! No drone - actually want more sound... thinking Res. Delete...
Thanks in advance for any Tips!

I had the muffler shop shorten the piping a bit so it wouldn't hang out SO far, the exhaust hangers were just fine where they are too! Also your muffler is hanging a little low, but when the muffler is pushed back after shortening the piping, it will ride a little bit higher!

The RPi axle back exhaust is designed to fit just right if the exhaust is cut and clamped at the correct location. We understand that this is not always possible as there are differences in each car. The exhaust tips are extended allowing for adjustability of height and length of which is sticks out past the bumper. To move the tips up and in, simply push the exhaust towards the front of the car and tighten the exhaust band clamp. The diagram below gives an example of what the exhaust rubber hanger alightment will look like. The clocking angle of the hanger will change the vertical distance between the exhaust and the car.
