545 custom exhaust question? quads
A while back I did a quad set up on my car with a Borla dual in/out then vibrant ultra quiet resonators then out the tips. I kept the stock resonators to help keep the decibels down. Then after awhile i decided it wasn't loud at all, so I removed the stock resonators resulting in a tab bit louder, but sounding more like a domestic muscle car. Not that loud and obnoxious, but would say it's leaning towards that side of the fence.
So my question now, has anyone done a custom set up on a 545 or N62 motor, keeping the stock cats and resonators. Replace the center with an X pipe, then out to some resonators. I'm wondering how it'll sound, before i start to throw money at it and experiment different setup. Hoping if anyone has done something similar to please comment.
What I'm after is something more aggressive sounding, and more of an F1 sound, rather than muscle car sound.

Boost,
On my 545i, I kept the factory cats and upstream resonators, I removed the rear box resonator and replaced with a Magnaflow Resonated X-Pipe into to Magnaflow Mufflers. Sounds good! No drone on the highway at all! But loud when I want it to be.
I don't think we are ever going to get the F1 sound like produced in the E60 M5. It's the characteristics of the V8 vs. V10.

Hyper - could you post up a sound clip of your car please, very curious to how yours sound vs. mine. Also, what's the part # to the magnaflow x-pipe you're using?
