Does anybody know where to get an intercooler upgrade for the 535i which doesn't involve an insane amount of modification?

you can use a intercooler from a Ford Focus RS. this guy has done it.

but his car is a 535d. but i dont think it matters. http://bmw535d.co.uk/id11.html

i don't think fitting an intercooler is the issue. I think the biggest issue with 535i is that the stock intercooler has another cooling system ,for oil or power steering, in it.

ah okay. i didnt know that. i drive a 530 diesel, and i know that its the same as the 535d.
didnt know that there were differences between the diesels and petrols.

but here is a link to the intercooler if you want. i prefere you buy it in black so you dont get pulled over by the police and they start check your car

My car gained alot just with exhaust and IC. The IC that i chose is made for the 335i and needed some minor modification but in the end worth every drop of sweat. The IC dimensions is just perfect, don't hide the water radiator and therefore you don't have to deal with water temp issues.

The cooling system on the 535d is different than the 535i I'm guessing? 535i needs lots of modifications from everything I've read.

I just ordered one from CP-E and it is supposed to fit with minimal modification. Should be here this week, ready to tackle this project. I found instructions on another site.
