So after installing my catless headers, my exhaust has a rasp to it at about 2,000rpm. I'm wondering if this happens to the 535 guys as well? I'd ask other m54 guys but I think I'm the only one with catless headers. I'm wondering if a resonator or x-pipe would get rid of the rasp?

The cats shouldn't have anything to do with the sound, as far as I know catalytic converters are there for emission purposes. A resonator is used for toning down the loudness of an exhaust, now as far as the "rasp" since we don't really know what sound your referring to, your guess is as good as ours whether or not it would work. Post a video when you get the time to show us. ![Happy](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/happy.gif)

I can also definitely say that the cats do affect the sound because my car sounds totally different now then it used to.
