Hey Everyone. John sent me a link to this thread. I'm impressed with the amount of responses its received so far so this is definitely something we're going to look into now. Feel free to ask any questions and I'll do my best to keep up on this thread and respond. Also, you can email me at nick@autobahnexotics.com and I'll be able to respond a bit quicker.

JCool,

Not sure if I understand what youre asking about a non-M 5 series... do you mean a non-M5 bumper? or a non-M-Tech bumper?

-Nick
thanks for droppin' in Nick! the votes above speaks for itself, as i told you.

in regards to Jcool's question - he basically wants to have an exhaust system that has flexibility so that it'll have more applications throughout the 5 series range of models.

we're eager to get this build started, so we feel if it'll apply to wider range of 5 series models - you'd get that much more interest!

Welcome aboard Nick!

I was asking if the 535i quad exhaust setup will be able to fit a 525i, 528i, 530i, 545i, and a 550i since they all share the same piping setup. The only difference that i know is that the 535i piping has a slightly bigger diameter. If the 535i kit can be easily installed on other E60s then we can get more interest than we already have. I'm sure more international buyers will also chime in!

Thanks for considering the 535i for your next project BTW. We all have been waiting for this for awhile now.

Hopefully the 535i quad setup will also fit non-M E60s. Nick, what's your take on this?

...................most quads are single pipes with two tips, thus sound isn't the issue, I still love the look of quads BUT the "less is more" rule appeals to me as well, and thats why I like the set up on the new 335s ............
whatever floats your boat mate ..... it's all good !

For those that owned an E39, it's so funny to think about the Quad look on the E60. It really wasn't even a consideration, unless you had the E39 M5. I remember when I got my E39 530i Sport, but saw the M-Sport Package on the E39 540i Sport and wanted that single exhaust tip to be on the rear of my car as well. It was the exhaust tip that had a straight shot out of the rear. The M-Sport rear bumper even had a cut out for it.

For those that had an E39 540, do you remember that? The older 540 Sports exhaust was buried under the rear bumper like the rest of the models, but the new M-Sport Package had the single exhaust tip. I thought that was so hot.

Now we're talking 4 tips on a standard E60. Crazy how the styles change over time.
