Was just wondering if anyone has had their 535d de-limited!
I was on the M6 toll and the motorway was totally empty for as far as I could see so I hit that gear lever to the left and stepped on it and within no time I was doing 148 MPH! Flippin Eck It was orgasmic
- I really wanted to continue to the 155 but I ran out of space as I started seeing cars in front of me
I am not even DMS'd yet
Has anyone de-limited - whats the max you have hit!!!???

My Ride: 535d Sport, carbon black, media pack, visibility pack, grey leather, heated seats, sun protection glass, voice control, Eibach ProKit, 19" 166 style wheels, e-maps ECU remap to 325hp and 640NM, top speed limiter removed
Yes, mine is. Although delimited is not really the correct word, as the ECU still requires an upper parameter to be set. So call it limiter raised.
Mine was raised to a limit the car won't be able to reach.
Have reached GPS timed 172 mp/h last summer on an empty stretch of Autobahn in perfect weather conditions.
My original factory limiter read out at 258 km/h (161 mp/h), so it looks like there is some speedo deviation allowance set by the factory.
I think we set it at 295 km/h (or similar) now, so the car doesn't run into the limiter anymore
By the way, mine was done by Simon from www.e-maps.co.uk which I had used for a few other cars before.

172 mph
That means I was not really doing 148 MPH!
However, thats strange as there is one of those "you are doing xx mph" things on a lampost near to where I live and it's set to 20mph (near a school) and whenever I am doing say 30mph (outside school hours when the kids are all tucked in bed <_< ) it matches my speedo exactly??

My car make fast 175mph (~4000rpm) and with some open road and down hills it already make once 185mph (~4300rpm). GPS speed. But the sedan make better top speed than the touring due to better Cx.

My Ride: 2004 545i / Orient Blue (I think) / Tan int / 116's Wheels / ... my favorite option, the HEATED steering wheel!
Previous cars retired:
2006 Corvette Z51, 2002 Corvette Coupe, 2002 Mustang, 1997 Maxima, 1994 Camry, 1990 Supra
None, and I mean none compare to this 545i. The 06 Corvette was faster, but not by much...
No limit!!
