ok guys, i have posted before about this, but have not got that good of a response. Before I ask a question, let me say that I searched this forum and the information present was not good enough. I am looking for a quad exhaust for my 2007 530i. A few options that I was considering was 1) remus, which makes a direct bolt on for my car. 2) was straight pipe. I am leaning more towards number 2 and attaching on a magnaflow exhaust, but I dont know how it will sound. I have heard a few 530i and 525i's with the magnaflow, but was not happy with the sound. I want something moderatly loud, more raspy than just bass. I want very little if any droning in the cabin and I still want the sound for when I want to speed up on the freeway. I am not doing this mod for performance so if you guys can help me, please you 530 and 525 members please post sound clips or options for me. I know that B&B is also out there for single dual exhaust, but i did not like that sound. I have read that eisenmann is also good, but the sound is not enough. Please provide as much feedback as possible. Thank you.

does the 530i also have 3 resonators like the 550i and 545i?

there is one rectangular resonator that is found at about the middle of the car. then there is 2 canister-looking resonators further up towards the engine. yes there is 3.

you could try supersprint or go custom exhaust setup.

Custom is slighlty less, and if you hear Imsortofabigdeals' magnaflow exhaust he has a combo of deep and raspy. Hamann5 also has a nice tone to his custom exhaust

is that hamman5's car in the sound clip, if so, thats what I exactly want.

EDIT: OK, it is his car. That car sounds very nice for a 525i. Hopefully, I will have the same within a few months!!

ok, so the attached picture was borrowed from a friend of hamman5 that I found through old posts. This is either a 325i or 330i. The only difference is that us 530i/525i owners have only one pipe coming out of the resonator, so we have to split that pipe when it comes out. The only thing right now is if the sound would cause droning in the cabin at cruising speeds.

Your best bet would be a dual system with resonator deletes. Take out 1 at a time and judge the sound, that's the secure approach...you can always go straight pipes.

With the muffler being up front would there be a loss in power off the jump?
