as most of you 535 owners know, we are a rare breed. clearly, tuners - including Dinan - are focused on the our N54 siblings, the 135i & 335i.
i figured us 535'ers need to stick together and gather as much info on our N54/535's as much as possible. we need to pool our resources together to get the attention of these tuners in making more mods for our cars!
other than posting your 535 pix, mods and specific tunes/software.....pls post any possible R&D opportunities that you're either a part of or know of.
i'll start....
i would love to see someone make a larger intercooler for our cars! in addition to larger turbos, but we'll need a larger IC before anything. i spoke with a local intercooler maker and he came to the conclusion that making a larger IC would take some major surgery. the oil cooler is hard lined directly in front of the IC, thus in order to fit the larger IC - the oil cooler has to be repositioned elsewhere.

+1
Intrercooler is my main focus right now for sure. Turbos being a close second. Followed by a good CAI, and of course I want DINAN to make a quad exhaust!

we need to get the attention of vendors/tuners to start producing more for our cars. recently, i've noticed a lot more 535's out on the streets. whereas several months ago, i would go weeks w/o seeing one.

I've got it on good info the reason there are no FMIC's is that the oil cooler that is normally located in the right front fender on the 9x's is that on the E60 n54 it is located right up front of the Radiator ( so I guess it does a bit better job cooling the turbo oil). So the space up front is very limited even compared to even the E8x's ( they require cuts on the front bumper)
I have a Proceed V3 Rev II on order ( dec 23rd is the expected ship ), I'd love to see some Down pipes , a GOOD CAI or RAI, and a Dual tip other than the Dinan that still uses the flapper valve ( going stealth speed, Only chrome left is the stupid Chrome bar in the lower Air dam , no Mtech kit)
The .9% financing and crazy low leas rate on 08' 535's right now could be a big reason for all the new ones on the streets.

thanks fellas for chiming in!
we all know that LCI 535ers are hairy chested meat eaters that haven't been pussified with 52x's and have enough brain cells to realize that 55x's are nothing more than compensating for inadequacies!!
MacFly has spoke. So sayeth all!

I'd like to see some nice downpipes and high flow full exhaust. I personally am fine with a single sided exhaust as long as it is all 3"+ mandrel bent and as straight flowing as possible without sounding like an airplane.
I currently am running JB3 1.0 pre 29.2 map and the car runs incredibly hard while retaining super smooth drive ability. I have confirmed with boost gauge 15psi peak boost tapering down a few psi before each shift...I also have the BMS single intake which is simplicity itself, proven to outflow the stock airbox under high boost conditions and a snap to install.

dont' hate!
i know several vendors are makin' downpipes for the 335, but not sure if it'll fit the 535.
as far as the BMS intake, you don't feel any low end torque loss with all that heat soak?
