335 Angel Eyes are BRIGHTER!!

2pm in the afternoon, I had a sliver 335i Coupe pull up behind me with his angel eyes on. The sun was out and his lights looked as bright as daytime lights but angels. It was freaking bright! Does the 335i coupes have better and brighter lights than other BMWs? Was it a mod or is it standard?

That's so funny you mention this. I have seen 2 335's in my neighborhood recently, both during the day. Both car's had their angel eyes on and I too, couldn't believe how bright they were. I think that for the 335, these are considered their Day Time Running lights. The reason I say that is because when I pulled up to one of the 335's, it was a woman in her 50's driving very cautiously and her taillights were not on. Therefore, I don't think she had her parking lights on either, nor did she mean to have her angel eyes on, which made me think they were DRL's. Regardless, they are definitely much brighter than any other oem angel eyes out there, but they're still that amber color. They need to have a set of AIB's instead.

The angel eyes serve as the DRLs in Canada on both the 3 coupes and new X5s!

Yep. I've read magazine articles that said the new OEM angel eyes in those cars are bright enough to be considered DRLs.
