hi guys, im looking to get new rims for my 525i. i recently found some nice 19 inc rims that would fit just fine. But i also found the same rims in 21 inches. So i was just wondering if the 21's would fit and if it would like drastically change how the car feels and drives etc...

Thanks

21's will fit. You may have to consider rolling fenders depending on the tire you wish to run. I opted to run rather wide tires on my 21's, so I had to roll the rear fenders as well as replace the front fenders with M5 (wider) fenders.

Also, you should be aware of the 21" tire selection- the tire selection is more limited than tires offered in a 20" size. PZero has the largest selection of 21" tires that I've been able to find and they are a little on the pricey side.

They will fit if the offset is right. But west is right. The tire selection for 21" wheels is very limited. My friend had Michelin Pilot Sport, but I'm not sure it Michelin makes that size anymore. I also heard that Goodyear F1 GSD3 is available in that size. All are on the expensive side, even more expensive than 22" tires, I heard. Also, I'm sure ride quality will suffer, but I'm not sure by how much. My friend's e38 didn't suffer all that much when he had 21s on.

IMO you should stick with multiples of 2 when it comes to rim sizes unless they are 17's or 19's. It will make things easier in cases like flat tires, etc.

I was thinking about doing the same. I also have a 525i. What offset did you go with and what tires did you use?...Also, what all did you have to do to get the wheels to fit?
