Hi, running the 19" BMW 172 spider alloys on my e60 m sport fitted with 275/35/19 tyres.
Car has stock suspension. I don't like the way the rears sit 'IN' the arches when compared to the front, so I want to fit some apacers.
Looking at it, I'm guessing 15mm would be about right, but it seems I cannot get the bolt on hubcentric spacers in anything less than 20mm.
I would prefer not to have to use longer bolts etc due to issues with buying extra locking bolts etc... So the bolt on option suits me better.
Anyone got this set up (20mm on these wheels) without any rubbing issues when carrying rear passengers??
Thanks.
James

Wait, let me understand correctly first... you want spacers, without having to gt longer lugs? Ik confused, lol. I had 15 on same wheel, same tire, they were fine, you may be able to run with 20mm, but theres a chance you may rub. And regardkess youll need longer lugs, but any way you go most come with them anyway. G L, hope thats kinda close to what you were looking for

If you're getting spacers it's HIGHLY recommended you get longer bolts. If you get a 20mm spacer, you're losing 2cm worth of thread. You're willing to risk that because you don't want bolts? Don't do it.

uh...i thought the rears look like that when parked. they're supposed to be even-out once you start driving? i'm running 15mm spacers on my rear, with 12mm in the front. no issues on the back when fully loaded, front rubs pretty bad, i rolled my fenders myself this past weekend to alleviate some of the rubbing.

I think the OP wants 15mm spacer that are like the 20mm spacers that allow you to bolt the spacer to the wheel hub and then use your origainal bolts to bolt onto the spacer. I have 20mm spacer like this on the rears of my car.

I've got the same setup. I have 15 mm RS Technik on mine. There is a noticeable difference but I also wonder if I could go a little wider. But like the others said you will need longer bolts. I'm pretty sure almost every kit comes with the bolts anyways. If you do get it done, after a few hundred miles you want to get them re-tightened as they will get a little loose.

The OP has explained pretty clearly that he means the "bolt-on" 20mm spacers which do not need longer bolts.
That's why in this case he meant to keep his current security bolt, if you ever bothered to read his post properly...
James, AFAIK the maximum spacer in the rear with M-sport suspension is 23mm, so 20mm would be just right!

Have measured up and it looks like 20mm would be abit 'tight' on the tyre edge to me.
Where did your info come from if you dont mind me asking, as I have tried and tried to find out any answers to this ques with no luck so far.
