Anyone know what brightness the stock HID headlights are on a 2008 535i? Trying to replace my Fog light bulbs from halogen to just a xenon colored one and not sure if 3500k/4000k/5000k etc would match the stock HID headlights, anyone happen to know this info or know where I can look it up?

Upgrade your low beams AND fogs to 6000k man, you will NOT be sorry. It's actually a pretty easy DYI too...but to answer your question, I believe the stock xenons are somewhere in the 4000k range. Someone here will know the exact temperature.

stock is 4300k. u would not want the xenon colored ones. U risk melting your wiring harness. The best way to go is to upgrade to 6000K HID fogs. I sell them. U can also upgrade the low beams as well. If you choose to upgrade the low beams, u can choose 8000K or 6000K.

so if i wanted to go from the stock 4300k to the 6000k HID, what all would i have to replace? Is it just the bulb or do i need the entire ballast and wirings? ...same with the fog lights.
