My Ride: 2008 528i

Hello all, this is my first post. I picked up my 2008 sapphire black 528i last week, I LOOOVE IT! Amazing car! Starting my mods
) help me out--v
i've been reading and reading, doing all kinds of research, and cannot come to a conclusive answer. I ordered miro staggard 19" m6 reps, 8.5 front 9.5 rear. Vendor recommended ET35 for front with 235/35 and ET20 for rear with 265/30. These are going on a 528i, does this look correct? Will they fit properly? (i.e. not be sucked into the wheel wells or rubbing on them)
from what i've read the ET20 in the rear sounds right. Im questioning the front though...

welcome. congrats on the 528. as for wheels, there have been mixed opinions about replicas. you'll see some of those opinions when the subject of replica wheels come up in threads. ET20 would be fine in the rear. as for the front, most stock oem wheels in the front have ET20. my wheels, for example, are oem and the fronts have an offset of ET18. hope this helps. good luck and enjoy the forums.

Dont get replicas... its not worth the little in savings... either you find a good priced OEM or forget it and stick with the stock wheels...

Et35 on the front wheels is wrong. for the 8.5 wheel you want an offset between 13mm and 20mm max.
Rears are perfectly fine on the offset side.
Looking at it your vendor doesn't seem to have a clue. Apart from giving you wrong offset for the fronts, the tyre sizes he recommends are wrong, too.
You need 245/35 and 275/30

Srsly, it's going to look weird on your car if you run those sizes.
Buy OEM and the best place is either from Tony (quad_m) or bmwwheels.com They are REAL, correct offset, and BMW won't void your warranty.

I have 20mm f/r and they are perfect @ 8.5 deep.
Does anyone know what offset was needed for the pre e60 pre 04' 5 series wheels? Someone is selling a set and I think they are 40mm offset which is WAY too much, but they could also be 20mm offset.... anyone know?

dont?t get f*ckin replicas!!
I have the original 167 M6 rims. ET12 front and ET17 rear. There are also available with ET28 on the rear (M5 167 version).
Because of my coilovers i had some very little rubbing issues on the rear. Fenders rolled... and everything is fine
Cheers
Danny

i contacted the vendor with the concerns from the research and information i found. when i made the prchase initially i specifically requested a proper fitment from the vendors "BMW expert" that would not require spacers or special lugs. the vendor's expert after my complaint then asked me what specifications i had read would work best and basically asked what you guys suggested (supposedly hes the expert thought, uuugh). i was advised by the vendor that the wheels would fit, that the setup recommended and suggested was a setup used successfully by a prior customer, and that the tires would fit properly on the rims. then they offered to send me spacers for the front and extended lugs at a reduced cost. i am not satisfied with this resolution and am not accepting delivery of the wheels and am contacting my credit card company to file a claim and cancel the payment.
am i going over board here guys? okay okay i know, aside from the advice of not going with replicas (this is a two year lease). everyone on the board also seems completely against every aspect of the package setup they suggested.

Dont get 35mm for the front..stick too ET20 or 17 what the guys said above. I have 35mm on my 5 series and its alright car feels better though with stock offset. If you go 35mm you'll need a 15mm spacer to get back too where you started
