Only reason I'm the the 528i over the 535i is because the 535i isn't available where I live.

Yes you should! Where are you? It helps people giving you advice on where to get parts if you give details of where you are.

man..... i regret getting the 528i....ive posted threads about this b4 and it ticks me off how slow the dam car is.... i made a horrible mistake i hope u dont get the 528!!!
I feel for ya~ The 528i isn't what anyone would call a quick car these days. It has 230 bhp and 200 lb-ft of torque which is good for 0-60 times of about 7.1 seconds (auto) and a top speed of 155 mph. It's not quick, but it's not slow either. True it is down on power compared to other cars in its price range, but the car handles incredibly well and most reviews of the car are generally between good and excellent. Wait till someone produces a performance 'chip' or an ECU remap for the 528i. That and a few small mods should be able to the take the 528i up to the bhp and torque levels of a MY '07 530i. The MY '07 530i has 255 bhp and 220 lb-ft of torque with 0-60 times of 6.6 seconds (auto).

If you live in SoCal and want to get a Sprint Booster contact Joe (r1racer) or Nerwyll (nerweezy) at Trinity Autosport. Both are members of this forum.

The Sprint Booster may not add any HP, but it gets rid of the throttle lag associated with drive by wire and adaptive throttle systems that E60s have. Sprint Booster increases throttle response effectively and makes the car feel that it is giving you all the HP that engine has immediately. If you are looking for a stoplight drag racer, you've bought the wrong car. There are cars that cost much less that the even more powerful 535i that are much quicker at intersection challenges. Most people by BMWs not because of the sheer power, acceleration numbers or top speed. Most people buy BMWs because BMWs provide the best overall driving experience.

There probably will be in the near future. I've been told that some companies are working on ECU remaps for release into market soon. Don't expect it to deliver the gains a 535i will get with a remap. Turbocharged cars get more HP and torque from remaps than NA cars. However, you can expect to get HP, torque and acceleration numbers closer to a 2007 530i when the remap is available and 'fitted' to your car.

Congrats on the new car and enjoy the forums!! Be careful, as the Sprint Booster is merely a "gateway drug" that will lead to the harder stuff, like body kits, tire/wheel packages and SO MANY other mods!! You have been warned!!
